What is Marketplace?
Clovia Marketplace is a fundraiser hosted every two years by active and alumnae members of the Beta of Clovia Chapter. We sell homemade goods including everything from rugs and quilts to baked goods and handcrafted decorations. This event provides visibility for our chapter and allows us to give back to the University of Minnesota and surrounding community.
This was formerly called the Clovia Bazaar, but was changed to Marketplace for the year 2012.
During Marketplace, we have a raffle drawing for a quilt. Tickets can be bought for $2 each.
**The 2016 Marketplace quilt is queen sized spread assembled by Linda M. Johnson ('76) and quilted by Ilene Olson Holmberg ('63). The pattern is called "Simply Fun" with beautiful colors of browns, tans, french blues and reds in prints from Civil War reproduction fabrics. The quilt is pictured below:
The Founders Day meeting will be held before shopping hours on Saturday, October 16 at 7 a.m.
